Bend's Local Custom Wood Furniture Maker

After retiring from a career as a scientist, businessman, and engineer about seven years ago, I started woodworking as a hobby. What began as a simple way to stay productive and work with my hands quickly became something I truly enjoy.
I started out self-taught, making pieces primarily for friends and family. As people began seeing my work, requests for custom furniture followed. Before I knew it, woodworking had become a rewarding second chapter.
I love working with wood, solving design challenges, and creating unique pieces that are built to last. Because I don't do this for a living, I’m able to keep my costs relatively low - often around half of what a typical custom woodworker might charge. I don't mark up the cost of materials, and when I find exceptional wood at a great price, I pass those savings directly on to my customers.
I have access to a wide variety of local and Southwest wood sources, including: Walnut, Maple, Elm, Mesquite, Argentine Mesquite, Chilean Mesquite, Boxelder, Olive, Acacia, Myrtlewood and Indian Rosewood. If I don't have the wood you're looking for, I have excellent sources and genuinely enjoy finding something special for a project.
I also taught myself to weld, which allows me to design and build custom metal legs and bases at a reasonable cost, giving you even more options for creating a truly one-of-a-kind piece.
My goal is simple: high-quality, unique, and stunning furniture with exceptional attention to detail, while making the process enjoyable and affordable.
I like new challenges, and I understand that ultimately, what you like is what matters. What can I make for you?
